All the lights you cannot see

I started reading this for the love story but kept going for the epic storytelling. Set during World War II, it follows the story of a boy from Germany and a girl from France. I was a little disappointed by how limited the actual interaction between the boy and the girl was, but the narrative made up for it with plenty of suspense and drama, so it wasn’t too bad after all.
